Competitive American Indians Turning Lifestyles Into New Beginnings
My name is Caitlin Baker, I am 15 and a member of the Muscogee Creek Tribe. I live in Oklahoma, and have been a competitive swimmer for 5 years. I have started an outreach program, CAITLINB, to promote swimming, sports participation and healthy lifestyles to Native American Youth.

Mission Statement:
Bring a message to Native Youth on the importance of being healthy and active. I will share my personal goals and experiences. Also, speak to Native American Leaders about the need to build facilities and organize year round programs for the young people in their communities.

THANK YOU:
David Baker, my grandfather (PA), He was the person who always told me I could accomplish greatness. I dedicate everything my program accomplishes to his memory.
My Family, for all your support in pursuing my passion.
Rita Wright, Diane Clayton, everyone at the Oklahoma City Indian Clinic for all your support and ideas.
Rachel and Veronica at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. You both are supportive of me and my ideas. (and your so fun to be around!)
Riverside Indian School and Anadarko School, focus groups for your ideas and insights
My coach, Kent Nicholson, teammates (go SSC) and all my friends for always supporting me and my time spent in the pool.
John Cruzat, at USA Swimming, for all your support and input.
Lastly, Damon Eastman, who I met in Denver. When you found me and introduced yourself, it changed who I am. You continue to teach me what challenges face Native American Youth. You showed me that I can change the world. You inspire me.
